Judi Chamberlin October 30, 1944 - January 16, 2010 The National Coalition of Mental Health Consumer/Survivors mourns the death of Judi Chamberlin, psychiatric survivor, international disability rights activist, and author of groundbreaking book On Our Own: Patient-Controlled Alternatives to the Mental Health System. "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere." These words spoken by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. from the Birmingham Jail in 1963 embody the spirit of Judi, who passed away shortly before the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday.
